Saw Setup Operator (Westfield in Indianapolis, IN

Express Employment Professionals needs a Saw SetupOperator for our client, a production facility in Westfield. This individual will perform a wide spectrum of duties including setting up and operating multiple saws tracking and documenting saw blade life and following manufacturing, quality and performance standards. Heshe will strive to exceed expectations with quality service in a timely manner.RESPONSIBILITIES Setting up and operating multiple saw equipment within the allotted set up time using blue prints and routings. Tracking and documenting saw blade life and advising the Product Manager of any blade life problems. Working with the Raw Material Handler on any needed tubing or bar stock for processing. Working with repair and maintenance personnel about needed repairs or machine problems.Occasionally performing tests on various brands of saw blades and tracks blade life in an effort to improve saw blade cost.Practicing safe work habits while using equipment and lifting or handling materials. Understanding and following all procedures associated with job functions. Performing special projects as directed by the Product Manager. Participating on self-directed work teams as needed and practices people skills training. Attending and participating in various training sessions as required. Resolving customer complaints in a timely and effective manner. Working closely with management and fellow employees to keep an open line of communications to achieve team concept goals of our organization. Detecting and reporting improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions to the Supervisor or Group Leader. Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Following prescribed safety rules and regulations. Maintaining and following QS9000 quality standards and standard operating procedures.
