Sr. System Engineer Indianapolis, Indiana As Senior Systems Engineer for our client, you will perform a variety of aircraft systems engineering work, including design, analysis, substantiation, certification, drawing interpretation and project management as related to transport category aircraft. Part of your job will include designing and analyzing aircraft systems and components such as vacuum and water/waste, air conditioning, fire protection and oxygen systems. You will also develop cabin systems modification/installation work instructions, procedures and recommendations, and supporting documentation including drawings and substantiation reports. We’re looking for a team player who can coordinate and monitor aircraft systems aspects with project managers as well as participate in customer-design reviews and presentations. To qualify, you must have your bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology plus five or more years of engineering experience including designing, plumbing and system layouts. You should also have experience in Adobe, AutoCAD, Catia, and 3D Max. Your knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations as they apply to transport category aircraft as well as knowledge of cabin-specific regulatory requirements, including flammability and crashworthiness, would be ideal.
